How does a cube pass through the eye of a needle?

It must first let go of its resistance in the third dimension so that it may become a plane; and then the plane must let go of its insistence on being a plane extended in a second dimension, so that it may become a line.

One might speculate that this is enough to pass through the eye but it depends on the eye and where it’s gazing at. If it is a portal to an altogether different kind of space, then even a line cannot make it; one must become naught. The line must let go of having any dimension at all so that it may become a point; the line must vanish in order to emerge from the other side. 

The cube will never know its fate. It may wish to become a hypercube, or a butterfly; but all these wishes only keep its dimensionality from collapsing into what is required for the passage.

To let go of dimensionality, to let go of being someone and having a story, to remain in the unknowing, to remain naught, it is only in this way that the cube will find rest, for in being naught the cube becomes everything.
