Everything that arises is true. Agree with it. It wants only your gentle warmth.
When you agree with what is in the way that it is, you don’t have to make it agreeable. It is disagreement with what is, and the inevitable fact that it is, initiates control and the exertion to make it agreeable.
We are so quick to disagree that we don’t often see that which is; instead we see what we have already made of it.
Agreement of which I speak is not a doing but a form of our fundamental nature. It is not an attitude we take up but rather a spiritual posture. Disagreement is what we take up and enact; the incessant doing always comes from disagreement. This disagreement comes from taking up of a position, from the need to have a stance on something.
There is only one stance that doesn’t conflict with others, and that is love.
