Today is a blank canvas. Thinking your ideal version into being, that’s the creative idea, but it’s naught if it doesn’t reach the canvas, for only the canvas, and not the mind, is the locus of reality. Your action, on the other hand, is the paintbrush that leaves a lasting trace on the canvas. What fades the fastest? The thought. What fades the slowest? Action. What never fades? Consistent action.
Positive affirmations without the consistent reenactment of what’s affirmed is more destructive than negative self-talk, for at least the latter is still able to smell their own stink while the former can stink the whole world without even knowing. The latter is more susceptible to awakening than the former because they are too self-aware to self-deny.
The true, creative affirmation is not the affirmation of the tongue but the affirmation of action, for only through action can things be brought into existence.
Just for today, I’ll visualize how my best version would be acting today, and I act as if I’m already established in that version.
